How the CastNet meshing process works

CastNet reads native CAD data (Parasolid, ACIS, Granite) or discrete mesh data. Meshing parameters (e.g. mesh sizes, boundary layers) are defined with respect to geometrical objects. The complete meshing process is optimised under consideration of all parameters for surface meshing, boundary layer meshing and volume meshing.
Using relative element size and curvature control attributes, CastNet generates effective meshes without having to define many mesh parameters. CastNet can suppress sliver faces and provides features to mesh narrow edges. Various options for mesh matching are available.
CastNet generates first and second-order curved elements for shells and solids.

Curvature Control: 1: No curvature 2: anisotropic curvature 3: isotropic curvature

Curvature mesh control and relative element size setting result in reasonable meshes with few parameters to be defined
